THONET 1025 side table: criss-cross & in neat rows

The 1025 side table by James van Vossel epitomises maximum elegance and minimalist essence: three wooden legs, spaced at regular intervals of 120 degrees, trace an imaginary circle on the floor. Viewed from above, they appear as perfectly aligned, flush-edged circles on the tabletop. The varying grain patterns of the three legs, which taper towards the base, create an additional graphic effect in relation to the tabletop.

Thanks to its distinctive design, this 2016 creation already has what it takes to become a classic within THONET’s wide-ranging collection. In addition to its function as a side table, the 1025 impresses with its precise craftsmanship – where sophisticated technology meets artisanal finesse – as well as its highly sculptural appearance. Nevertheless, the THONET 1025 does not inevitably take centre stage. Its aesthetic comes into its own particularly well when combined with other pieces of furniture.

Despite its solid construction, the THONET 1025 side table retains a high degree of lightness. The table is available in three finishes: oak, ash or walnut. The oiled wood finishes each lend the side table a distinct visual character.
