PH 3/2 Limited Edition 2025 from Louis Poulsen
Like a petal in soft autumn light
The PH 3/2 Table Lamp Limited Edition is a timeless design that creates warm elegance anywhere. The four-layer, hand-blown glass in Dusty Terracotta is glossy on the outside and sandblasted in matt opal white on the inside, creating a poetic and warm light. The lampshades give off a soft, delicate hue that gives this classic table lamp a refreshing and sophisticated look.

Pure poetry
The PH 3/2 Limited Edition 2025 makes flower artist Nicolai Bergmann think of petals illuminated by soft autumn light, with their vibrant yet earthy tones that symbolise the natural process of change and transformation as the seasons pass.
Nicolai Bergmann chose the garden at his home in Hakone, Japan, as the ideal location for the PH 3/2 Limited Edition 2025 photoshoot. He views the garden as a peaceful space where one can unwind and connect with the natural world, which he believes complements the lamp beautifully.
"I aimed to evoke a sense of poetry and contemplation to encourage everyone to slow down and appreciate the positive influence of nature. Nature serves as the primary source of inspiration for all my floral work.”
Nicolai Bergmann is drawn to the feel of the aged brass in this year's limited edition, which he sees as an authentic extension of Poul Henningsen's design legacy. He believes that the combination of the aged brass and the tinted glass is what completes it
"The first time I saw it, I was struck by its calm and immediate beauty. The amber-coloured glass is stunning, exuding a serene and poetic quality much like the comforting warmth of a rainy autumn day. It makes me think of petals in autumn light with its rich and vibrant colours."
A feeling of home
In Nicolai Bergmann's work, it is the lighting that unveils the subtleties of colour and enhances texture. He believes that without proper lighting, even the most beautiful flower loses some of its magic.
Privately, lighting also plays a significant role. Bergmann's collection of Danish design classics in his homes in Tokyo and Hakone creates a strong connection to Denmark, making him feel more at home.
"Turning on a Louis Poulsen lamp in Tokyo feels like activating a small piece of Denmark. It gives me a sense of safety and continuity every day, even when I'm far away and immersed in a very different culture."
About the PH 2/3
Poul Henningsen’s much-loved PH 3/2 Table Lamp helped set new standards for the effectiveness of table lamp lighting. The PH 3/2 Limited Edition 2025 in Dusty Terracotta features glass in a recreated version of the original colour, providing a slightly warmer light. The stem and details are in lacquered aged brass, resembling the original PH lamps, complete with PH’s signature.
The Danish designer introduced the PH 3/2 Table Lamp in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1927, not long after he developed the System PH, which enabled unequalled lighting quality for a variety of purposes, as the basis for hundreds of future lamp designs.
Many of Poul Henningsen’s lamp designs are named with a number that correspond to the different shade sizes. The PH 3/2 is considered a “hybrid” lamp, featuring a top shade that is approximately 30 centimetres, combined with proportionally smaller lower shades from the PH 2/2. Henningsen designed the PH 3/2 Table Lamp to provide optimal lighting and create a warm atmosphere, effectively forming an island of pleasant light on a table, dresser or windowsill.
