The Breuer chair B40 - a classic Bauhaus furniture - goes back to a draft of the designer Marcel Breuer from 1925. Until today the chair has lost none of its attractiveness, quality or convenience. Rather, Breuer's tubular steel furniture is unbroken in popularity worldwide and part of numerous exhibitions.
The lightweight filigree steel tube frame of the chair B40 is made of nickel plated steel and wears a numbering, which identifies the chair as an original Bauhaus furniture. Seat and back are covered with either iron yarn, fabric or leather and laced in the back.
Tecta is a furniture company based in German Lower Saxony. With the protection and innovative continuation of original Bauhaus models they selected a very prominent field of activity and a very fastidious one. Released by the avant-garde of the 1920s as an risky venture in small-scale production, Tecta managed it exclusively to produce in larger scales today. This has been authorized officially by the Bauhaus archive in Berlin. So Tecta belongs to the leading names when it comes to Bauhaus furniture.
