Santa Lucia from Richard Lampert
These chairs bear little resemblance to the classical Colonial or Finca-style furniture made of rattan. Both ›Santa Lucia‹ chairs are strictly modern, designed by an architectural hand. Elegant, small and stackable armchairs, who emit warmth and personality. For use in kitchens and at dining tables as well as in restaurants, bars or cafés. Herbert Hirche has been a member of the German Council of Design since 1961. He designed the first Italian restaurant in Stuttgart, the famous Santa Lucia‹ twice. And with it the two Santa Lucia chairs, one in 1956 and the other 1969.
Since 2009, the chair has been available with an outside resistant and easy-care synthetic fibre made of polyethylene. Convenient, compact, stackable - modern and cosy at the same time.
Richard Lampert
In 1993, Richard Lampert founded his company, based in the German city of Stuttgart, with the aim of producing innovative and versatile furniture for everyday use. High-quality craftsmanship, superb design and sustainability are the qualities that define each of Richard Lampert’s products.
The collection ranges from classic pieces by designers such as Egon Eiermann and Herbert Hirche to modern, multiple award-winning design icons and to often unconventional products by international designers, all the while following the maxim: ‘as little as possible, as much as necessary’. The Richard Lampert collection does not just focus on one single category, but spans the most diverse fields, such as indoor and outdoor furniture, furniture for both adults and children, as well as home and office furnishings.
