Eiermann 2 from Richard Lampert
The original ‘Eiermann Table 1’ was designed by Egon Eiermann in 1953 with a diagonal one piece cross-brace. A 1965 knock down variation of the original was conceived by staff of Eiermann, that is the Hochschule Karlsruhe. Although not designed by Egon Eiermann it has been also referred to as ‘Eiermann Table’. Richard Lampert call this version ‘Eiermann Table 2’. It’s design includes a cross-brace at right angles to the ground, screwed together back to back, which provides an ergonomic advantage, if the table is used as a dining table or conference table, where people sit opposite.
