Fasad Duo from Kasthall

Kasthall adds a significant milestone to its sustainability journey with Fasad – a rug collection that rethinks the potential of recycled wool. In collaboration with the design office of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Sir David Chipperfield, Kasthall presents two new rug designs that are both timely and timeless – designed for today and enduring for years to come. With Fasad, Kasthall is creating what it believes to be the world’s first rug collection using recycled post-consumer wool.

The Fasad collection includes Uno and Duo – inspired by the brick façade of the Kasthall factory in Kinna, Sweden, with Uno featuring a uniform expression while Duo is defined by its structured design that consists of an even number of blocks. Both are presented in a natural, subdued color palette with glints of linen.

In Fasad, the recycled wool yarn that comprises 25% of the wool is the result of a process that transforms previously used wool back into a high-quality fibrous material. The benefits of recycled wool include extended product life, increased quality and reduced environmental impact.

Fasad Duo is a woven bouclé rug made from recycled wool yarn and pure linen, available in various colours and sizes.
