Panal (rectangular) from gandia blasco - gan

The Panal collection is a series of artisanal rugs inspired by the perfection of the architectures that bees build and their capacity, as invisible engineers, to sustain biodiversity and environmental balance. Its rich variety of shades provides the necessary nuances to reproduce the heterogeneity of honey tones and the volumetry that honeycombs have—a complex and dense structure of colors that is only possible to achieve with the artisanal hand-knotting technique.

The Panal collection goes beyond being a tribute to the perfect geometry that bees achieve through the hexagon, as it is also, by extension, a tribute to all animals that create authentic works of highly efficient architecture, such as birds with their nests or spiders with their webs. A tribute to architectures created by animals, since the human being is not the only architect animal, as the Finnish thinker Juhani Pallasmaa defends.

The Panal collection is part of our GAN EDITION series: rugs that are handcrafted in Nepal with the hand-knotted technique using 100% New Zealand wool, as hand-knotting is the most appropriate technique to achieve its level of perfection, in the same way that bees do when they build their honeycombs.

Panal is an indoor rug available in two sizes and in a round shape. The version offered here is rectangular.
