Tension (with back) from conmoto

TENSION – versatile in function and material. With the TENSION series the design trio of Maly, Hoffmann and Kahleyss have created a new design character for living spaces and the garden. The particularly stable and weather-resistant material HPL makes it possible for use both inside and outside the whole year round. The straight lines of the TENSION furniture are emphasised by the integrated stabiliser bars, available in oak, walnut or teak. You can choose between HPL and wood for the material for the tabletop / seat, the edges and the stabilisers, and compose your own personal version.

The starting point for the design of the Tension furniture was the idea of connecting and stabilizing the two slightly splayed sides of this large-format table and bench with a solid teak bridge. The designers chose a handcrafted wedge construction to firmly anchor the bridge and cheeks. The result was not only an "exciting" form in the literal sense, but also an interesting material contrast: the very flat HPL material looks really good together with the solid teak wood!

New in the Conmoto furniture range is the material CCL - Colour Compact Laminate. This hard-wearing material consists of a hard paper core which has been coloured white with melanin resin. A white laminate surface is attached on the outside. It is a particularly high-quality furniture material. However, the CCL version is not suitable for outdoor use.

The bench offered here is designed with backrest, but can also be ordered without backrest.
