RF200 (Walnut) from Carl Hansen

Carl Hansen & Søn updates the lighting collection with the RF200 table lamp designed by Rikke Frost. The new design complements existing items and adds a modern touch to the collection thanks to its distinctive combination of warm wood, metal and atmospheric ambience.

Nature at play
With an artistic expression inspired by the trunk and crown of a tree, the RF200 table lamp emits an atmospheric light from its elegant shade. With a perfect balance between the warm wood and cool metal, the versatile design can be configured in no less than nine different ways to match any interior.

The base of the lamp is made of FSC™-certified solid wood (FSC C1355991) with polished brass details, and two curved metal reflectors emit a soft, glare-free light downwards through the leaf-shaped shades. The RF200 is both classic and modern and is a perfect addition to Carl Hansen & Søn's existing lighting collection. The materials play the main role in the simple and organic design of the Petal Lamp, in which the designer Rikke Frost was primarily concerned with finding a balance between the elements of the lamp.

The wooden lamp base with visible veins emits a natural, warm light, while the metal reflectors lend a cooler, yet soft expression. The result is an expressive and glare-free light source in which the materials complement each other perfectly.

In the version offered here, the wooden lamp base is made of solid oiled walnut.
