Hybrid (Straight sofa) from B&B Italia Outdoor

Hybrid is a unique system made up of modular seating elements. A key role is played by the textile dimension with covers that completely cover the generous upholstery, the absolute protagonist of the project. These are typical interior design elements that Hybrid interprets for outdoor use. Hence the name of the collection, which acts as a link between indoor and outdoor areas.

Hybrid is the perfect furnishing element for a climate and spaces characterised by a continuous fusion of indoor and outdoor space, with rooms that open up to the outside and for living spaces that are integrated into terraces and gardens. The combination of opposites is not only visual, but also tactile: Hybrid guarantees the typical comfort of traditional upholstered furniture for indoor spaces thanks to a new type of particularly soft and comfortable mattress seat designed for outdoor areas.

The cushions are made of a filling material with different densities, which provides pleasant and supportive seating comfort without the body sinking in. The frame is almost invisible and the seat appears to float a few centimetres above the floor.

Hybrid is filled with moulded polyurethane of various densities, lined with polyester fibre with a water-repellent coating. The frame is made of cast aluminium and extruded aluminium with polyester powder coating. A cushion (60x60cm) and a matching, weatherproof cover are included.
