Arik Levy was born in 1963 in Tel Aviv, Israel, studied Industrial Design at the Art Center College of Design in La Tour de Peilz in Switzerland. From 1992-1994 he taught at the Ecole Nationale Supérieur de Création Industrielle / Les Ateliers, Paris and design workshops in various design schools in Europe, at the same time he designed stage sets for modern dance for the Grand Theatre of Geneva, the Netherlands Dance Theatre, the Finnish National ballet house and the BatSheva Dance Center in Israel. In 1997 he founded his own studio with Pippo Lionni "L design" in Paris. The activities of his studio range from sculptures and installations to industrial design and everyday products. With Vitra, he works since 2000 and has designed several office furniture at this time and manages projects.
