The most iconic products Greta Grossman designed in the 40's and 50's were the Gräshoppa floor lamp and the Cobra floor and table lamps. Today, Grossman's product designs are highly collectible and are sold at auctions all around the world. Grossman's products are unique, modern classic designs.

The iconic Gräshoppa lamp was first produced in 1947. The tubular steel tripod stand is tilted backward and the elongated aluminium conical shade is ball-jointed onto the arm; so the light can be directional, yet the glare is minimal. Both stand and shade are powder-coated.

2013 Gubi presents a new Gräshoppa model - the Gräshoppa Task Table Lamp. The tubular brass stand of the table light Gräshoppa Task is mounted on a brass base whilst the elongated conical steel shade is mounted with a moveable joint in solid brass, consequently the light can be directional, yet the glare is minimal. The shade is powder-coated and available in 4 colours. The switch is integrated in the base.

Design furniture and lamps made of different materials, in a timeless and stylish design are the result of the work of Danish design house GUBI. Curiosity, courage and intuition are key components for the success of the Danish furniture manufacturer, who looks for good design not only in the future, but gladly goes into the past  to recover and revitalize forgotten design treasures of the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. The results are intercontinental designs, which combine the past and the future to timeless design classics.
