Patrick Jouin was born in 1967 in Nantes in France. He graduated at the „ENSCI-les Ateliers“, Ecole nationale supérieure de creation industrielle in Paris in 1992. He designed for the “Compagnie des Wagons-lits” and the “tim thom”, Thomson Multimedia with the artistic leadership from Philippe Starck. From 1995 to 199 he worked together with the Studio from Philippe Starck in Paris. He was honored with the title “Designer of the Year” in 2003 for “Maison & Objet” as designer for Thomson, Ligne Roset, Renault, Cassina, Murano and Kartell. He worked together with Alain Ducasse and designed many restaurants such as the Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, Be Boulangerie-epicerie, in Paris and the Mix New York Restaurant. Patrick Jouin designed the Chop chopping board and a pasta set for the Italian manufacturer Alessi.
