Kaori Shiina was born in Japan. In 2005 she started to work on her own, opening a studio working the field of design and interior design projects, in Italy and in Japan. She has worked with companies such as Bonaldo, Fiam, Legnomagia, Tonelli, Panasonic Italy, Sekisui Heim and Ristorante KUSHI (Milan).
