The 1965 born, Danish ceramist Annemette Kissow moved to Copenhagen in 1995, where she started her studies as ceramist and glass designer at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the same year she already founded her own design workshop. After her studies she founded a shop which sold her own designed products in Copenhagen, in 1998. Only three years later her talent began to be discovered all around in 2001 and success began to rise. She received a 2 years Start-up-scholarship by the National Arts Foundation and started to be honored with the first design awards afterwards, such as the Formland Prize in 2004. Continuous cooperation with namely Danish manufacturers such as Vipp also became common for Annemette Kissow.
